Beaverton, OR — Westview High School senior Dayton Jenkins has been named 1st Team All-Metro League after a standout senior season in which he stepped into a leading role for the Wildcats.
Jenkins emerged as one of the most impactful players in the Metro League this year, providing Westview with consistent scoring, rebounding, and leadership on both ends of the floor. As a senior, he elevated his game and became a central piece of Westview’s success throughout the season.
Jenkins is averaging 17.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple areas. His presence on the glass, scoring ability, and defensive activity have made him one of the top players in the league.
His strong play helped lead Westview to a first-round playoff win over Ida B. Wells, and the Wildcats will now face Jesuit on Friday with a chance to advance to the 6A State Tournament.
Being named 1st Team All-Metro League recognizes the impact Jenkins has had throughout the season, as well as the leadership he has provided for Westview during his final year of high school basketball.
