Spokane, WA –– Andwele Bridges has officially committed to Whitworth University, where he will continue his academic and basketball career with one of the top NCAA Division III programs in the country.

Bridges has been part of Team Progress since 6th grade and is one of the original players in the program. His commitment is a special moment not only for Andwele and his family, but also for Team Progress, as his journey represents years of loyalty, development, and commitment to the process.

During his career at Forest Grove High School, Bridges put together one of the most impressive résumés in school history. He was a 4-year varsity letter winner, a 3-time 1st Team All-League selection, and finished his career as Forest Grove High School’s all-time leading scorer with 1,589 career points.

As a senior, Bridges continued to establish himself as one of the top players in Oregon. He earned All-State Honorable Mention after averaging 22.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. His scoring ability, toughness, consistency, and leadership made him a standout throughout his high school career.

At the next level, Bridges will join a Whitworth program with a long tradition of winning. Since 2000, Whitworth has won 18 Northwest Conference titles and has posted a winning percentage near 79%, placing the Pirates among the most successful men’s basketball programs in the country across all NCAA levels. The program has also proven it can compete beyond the Division III level, with multiple wins over NCAA Division II opponents.

For Team Progress, Bridges’ commitment is a full-circle moment. From joining the program as a 6th grader to becoming an all-time leading scorer and earning the opportunity to play college basketball, Andwele’s journey reflects the work, growth, and dedication that define his career.

Congratulations to Andwele Bridges on his commitment to Whitworth University. Team Progress is proud of everything he has accomplished and excited to see what he does next.
